Total Square Footage: 100,000 MEP Cost: $2.4 Million Special Features Project Description The project included a new steam to heating hot water central plant with variable flow pumping. A new air cooled chilled water central plant with primary-secondary pumping. All air handling units were replaced with most systems being converted to variable air volume with hot water reheat reducing the energy consumption of the facilities HVAC system. The new food court area is served with new kitchen hoods and makeup air units. The existing domestic hot water storage tank water heater was replaced with new steam instantaneous domestic water heaters. The two existing primary electrical services and substations at the interior of the building were removed. A new 1500 KVA transformer, 2500 amp, 277/480 volt main switchboard with distribution and panel boards throughout the union were installed. A new fire alarm system was installed throughout the entire building.
