  • Project Description

    Slated to begin construction in the fall of 2009, this 2-story building addition and renovation will include a new 27-bed medical patient wing and a new receiving dock and materials management department on the lower level. The upper level of this facility will include a 24-bed surgical patient wing, a new 2200 square-foot pharmacy and an O.B. department containing 8 LDR’s, 13 post-partum rooms, a 10-bassinet level 1 nursery, a 6-bassinet level 2 nursery and a new c-section room. The radiology addition and renovated areas of this project will include 3 new ultrasound rooms, 3 new x-ray rooms, 1 new mammography room and a new C.T. scan room. The new mechanical and electrical systems to support this addition and renovation include a new 1500-ton chiller plant and a new 1000-kW emergency power generating plant to serve the entire facility’s chilled water and emergency power demands. The new chiller plant will deliver approximately 3600 gallons per minute of chilled water to the facility’s existing air handling equipment as well as to the 12 new air handling units being installed with this project (capable of conditioning approximately 154,000 cubic feet of air per minute).
