Total Square Footage: 130,000 MEP Cost: $8 Million Special Features Project Description The building is a 130,000 square foot six (6) story office building located on the BCBS campus in Topeka, Kansas. The building included a sub-basement, basement, and four levels above grade. First floor included a new central kitchen/cooking facility with associated main dining private dining rooms. Levels two and three are general office space and the fourth floor includes office space with Executive Conference Room and Board Room. A new 1350 (3-450 ton chillers) ton cooling plant to the campus was installed in the basement. Individual air handling units were installed on each floor. A state-of-the-art indirect/direct lighting system utilizing T5 fluorescent lamps was installed. The project also included data, communication, security, controlled access, and fire notification systems.
